Welcome and Cheers to All the Good Things 2017 May Bring!
You don’t know me. And I don’t know you . . . yet! But I am looking forward to getting to know you and I would like to help you learn more about me.
For starters, I value faith, family, and friends. I work hard. I love to laugh and have fun. I’ve experienced both success and failure and I’ve learned much from those experiences.
My professional career started many years ago at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan, where I worked in the lab as a phlebotomist, while attending college to study nursing. After seven years at Beaumont, I left the medical field to pursue my dream of creating and owning my own full-service salon. After ten successful years as a stylist and salon owner, my goals changed unexpectedly. My dear sister-in-law was diagnosed with leukemia. Her battle with the disease and subsequent hair loss during her chemotherapy treatment were devastating. At the same time, I found that many of my clients were experiencing hair loss issues due to various conditions. My desire to help inspired me to further my professional education and specialize in non-surgical hair replacement. Currently, I am the owner and director of Advanced Hair Solutions in Auburn Hills, Michigan, where my associates and I work with many individuals experiencing hair loss in connection with chemotherapy treatment, as well as various other medical and non-medical conditions. Based on my personal and professional experiences (which I will share more of in the future), I have come to thoroughly understand and accept that the physical is only one aspect of beauty, and more fleeting than the lasting beauty that emanates from within an individual. So, my passion has evolved. At my salon, through my products, and in this blog, I hope to help those I touch enhance their outer beauty. At the same time, we will explore the deep challenges that affect our self-esteem and uncover the ways to unleash our inner beauty.
Having said all of the above, I will strive to provide you with interesting and meaningful information covering a broad range of topics to inform, encourage, and empower you in your search for natural beauty and well-being.
Stay tuned as we move forward together, and please feel free to share your comments or personal experiences with me and our readers.
Always remember: Be informed. Be encouraged. Be empowered. But most of all . . . Be yourself.
